Life in a white shirt…

Sometimes there is just not enough time in the mornings for a well thought-out and curated look. At times I just want simplicity – fuss-free, effortless dressing. As much as I try to mindfully mix, match and layer items with thought for my look of the day, sometimes I just want to throw on basics and be out the door. However, I want to look anything but ‘basic’! For me, it’s all in the small details and statement accessories.

A crisp white shirt will forever be our corporate and casual wardrobe staple. Day, night, autumn, winter, spring or summer, a white shirt will always be the most mixable item in any closet.

For several years now I have been buying pieces from Uterqüe, especially my white poplin shirts! I see the brand as a Spanish equivalent to Reiss, or a high-end Zara. They specialize in exquisite leathers, tailored flowing pieces, amazing accessories and exceptional blouses, all of which are perfect for work!

I love this oversized poplin shirt with its pearl cuff details and the grey leather pants. And of course, a statement Stella flatform to take me into those standard Friday evening hair-down shenanigans.
