As you may be able to tell, this shoot was done in the bitterly wet and cold London winter weather.
My winter work wear tailoring has taken a new turn… right into the Zara menswear section. In Canary Wharf, lunch is peak time for every store, especially Zara. I find it much easier to buy online and return in store (thank you Inditex group for your ever efficient online delivery and returns process). Whilst the queue accumulates in the women’s section, I head straight upstairs to the men’s.
Menswear tailoring really inspires me. It turns out the smallest size in Zara Man blazers provides the perfect fit for me with a slightly bulky, sharp overhang at the shoulder. Unassumingly oversized.
Here it’s worn with my usual Carven trousers, a simple Massimo Dutti wool silk blend polo, and my new Dear Frances boots for a burgundy touch. I think these boots are my most worn shoes of winter 2017/18. I added a little dash of glam with the Gucci Marmont belt layered over with this tobacco coloured Max Mara coat with fox fur trim. It’s a real wintery look, with a ballsy colour clash and business-power dressing to keep heads turning!
